Help Center / Realtimer Pro in the app
Realtimer Pro in the app
With Pro you don’t set up any keys: sign in once, and transcription and AI answers run through your Realtimer account. You can also choose where your calls are transcribed — America, Europe, Australia or India.
What Pro changes in the app
- No keys. Settings → Voice2text and AI for answers switch to Realtimer Pro (no key). Nothing to sign up for at Deepgram or Google.
- Region choice for live transcription — see below.
- More of the app unlocked: several knowledge bases (Settings → Knowledge base → New knowledge base) and 60 vocabulary words instead of 20.
- Fast answers come from a light, quick model (about a second); AI from a fuller model of the same family.
On the Free plan these items are visible but greyed out with “Upgrade to Pro”.
Signing in
- Open Realtimer → Settings (gear) → Account → Sign in…
- Your browser opens your Realtimer account. If you aren’t signed in there yet, sign in with your e-mail code.
- The page connects the app and sends you back to Realtimer. The window says “Signed in as … — Realtimer Pro”.
Settings → Account then shows your plan and the hours used this month. Sign out is in the same place; your own keys, if you added any, keep working after you sign out.
Choosing the region
Settings → Region decides where Pro transcribes your calls. It’s active only when Voice2text is set to Realtimer Pro, and takes effect the next time you press Start.
- Auto (default) — the nearest region, based on where you connect from.
- America, Europe, Australia, India — always that region.
Frankfurt, GermanyEurope and Africa≈ 0.1 s0.5–0.7 s
United StatesThe Americas, Asia and everywhere else≈ 0.2 s1.0–1.3 s
IndiaOnly when you choose it≈ 0.2 s0.8–0.9 s
Sydney, AustraliaAustralia, New Zealand, Oceania≈ 0.35 s1.3–1.7 s
* Measured from Madrid on 9 October 2026: the same phrase, four runs per region, through realtimer.ai. From your location the numbers differ — the nearest region is usually the fastest.
- Pick the region closest to you for the fastest text. If your company needs calls processed in a certain region, choose it by hand.
- India is new at our transcription provider, so Auto doesn’t pick it — choose it yourself.
- The region applies to Pro only. With your own Deepgram keys, transcription uses Deepgram’s main (US) service.
Hours used
Pro counts the time your calls are transcribed. You see it in Settings → Account and at the top of your Realtimer account: “… of … h of calls this month”. The count starts again each month. If the month’s hours run out, Realtimer says so (code P02); you can switch to your own keys meanwhile.
Where your audio goes
With Pro, the call audio goes from your Mac through realtimer.ai to the transcription service in the region you chose, and the text comes back the same way. Answers are written by Google’s Gemini Flash models. realtimer.ai doesn’t store your audio, transcripts or answers — only how long you transcribed and how many answers you asked for, to count your hours. Transcripts and notes are saved on your Mac only if you turn that on in Settings.
Switching back to your own keys
Pro and your own keys can live side by side. In Settings choose Deepgram under Voice2text and a service such as Google Gemini under AI for answers — the app uses your keys again. Choose Realtimer Pro (no key) to go back.
Troubleshooting
- “Sign in to Realtimer again” — P01: Settings → Account → Sign in…
- “This needs Realtimer Pro” — P03: the account is on the Free plan.
- “Realtimer Pro isn’t available right now” — P04: try again in a minute, or use your own keys meanwhile.
- Text comes slowly — set Settings → Region to the region nearest you, then Stop and Start.
- Still stuck? Report a bug.
