Realtimer Pro vs Free
Free gives you the core of Realtimer on your own keys. Pro adds everything around it — no keys, regions, more knowledge, call history. Below: the difference, then what matters most and where to switch it on. Everything is set in the Mac app; see Realtimer Pro in the app for details.
* Median time from the end of a phrase to its text: 98–106 ms, measured from Madrid with the Europe region (9 October 2026). From farther away or with a distant region it’s about 0.2–0.4 s.
What matters most in Pro
- 1
Sign in once — no keysMost important
Transcription and answers run through your Realtimer account: nothing to set up at Deepgram or Google, no free-tier limits to juggle.
App → Settings → Account → Sign in…
- 2
Use the right button at the right momentMost important
Fast answers in about a second — for the live moment. AI gives a fuller answer when you have a few seconds. KB answers from your own documents, with the source.
Buttons in the Realtimer window, or the hotkeys — they work while Zoom, Meet or Teams is in front. · Fast ⌃⌘↵ · AI ⌥⌘↵ · KB ⌘⇧↵
- 3
Choose the nearest regionMost important
Text appears faster when transcription runs close to you — from Europe, the Europe region shows text about 0.1 s after someone stops speaking.
App → Settings → Region (Auto picks the nearest)
- 4
A knowledge base for each client or product
KB answers only from the documents that matter for this call — pricing for one client, specs for another.
App → Settings → Knowledge base → New knowledge base, then Add files…
- 5
Teach it your words — up to 60
Names, products and jargon are recognised correctly; fix words that keep coming out wrong with “real timer -> Realtimer”.
App → Settings → Vocabulary → Edit…
- 6
Keep your calls in your account
Every call of 15 seconds or longer gets a title, summary and timed transcript you can search later — text only, never audio. You choose how long it’s kept.
App → Settings → Call history → Save calls to my Realtimer account. Then: your account → Call history.
- 7
Summary and notes the moment you press Stop
Decisions, next steps and open questions, ready to paste into an e-mail or your CRM.
App → Settings → Meeting notes → Summary & notes after Stop
- 8
Set the call brief
Tell it who you are and what the call is about — answers fit your role instead of sounding generic.
App → Settings → Call brief (or write your own: Custom → Edit…)
- 9
Keep eye contact
Puts the window right under your camera, so reading an answer doesn’t look like looking away.
Hotkey anywhere · ⌃⌘C
- 10
No headphones? Leave Sound on Auto
On speakers, Realtimer tells the voices apart and drops the echo, so the other side doesn’t show up twice.
App → Settings → Sound → Auto
- Soon
