Gong Pricing 2026: What Teams Actually Pay

Gong doesn’t publish a price list. Every number below comes from buyer reports collected by other companies, and those companies don’t fully agree on the figures. They do agree on the shape of the bill: a license per user, a yearly platform fee, an onboarding fee paid once, and add-ons if you want them. For a team of ten, the first year comes to roughly $28,000 to $34,000.

What Gong’s own pricing page says
Gong’s pricing page shows no numbers, only the structure: “Licenses are priced per user,” “There is a platform fee based on the number of users supported,” and connecting your existing tools costs nothing extra. The page asks for your team size, from 1 to 50 users up to 10,000 and more, and offers a custom proposal. Every figure below comes from buyers.
The four parts of a Gong bill
| Part | Reported cost | Source |
|---|---|---|
| License (Gong Foundations) | About $1,300 to $1,600 per user a year. Claap lists $1,600 for 1 to 49 users, falling to $1,360 at 250+ | PitchMonster, Claap |
| Platform fee | $5,000 to $50,000 a year, charged whatever the team size; often $5,000 to $10,000 under 50 users | PitchMonster, Claap |
| Onboarding | About $7,500 one time for most new customers, over $35,000 for some enterprise deals | PitchMonster, Claap |
| Add-ons | Forecast about $700 and Engage about $800 per user a year; bundles $2,400 to $3,000 per user a year | PitchMonster |
One older change is easy to miss: Forecast, once part of the base price, has been sold separately since a 2025 restructure (PitchMonster). AI credits, added in June 2026, are covered below.
How Gong’s AI credits work
Gong moved part of its AI features to credits in June 2026. We couldn’t find Gong’s announcement itself, so the details below come from guides by Supered, GoNimbly and Discera and may change.
- Each paid core seat adds about 2,000 credits a year to a pool the whole company shares. The pool resets at the start of each contract year.
- AI Trackers, tools used through Gong’s MCP server and AI workflows run through the API draw from the pool. Gong Assistant, coaching and forecasting stay included with the seat.
- When the pool runs out, the features that use credits stop until you buy more. Admins can set monthly limits per user and per feature.
For a team of ten that’s about 20,000 credits a year. Whether that’s plenty depends on how many trackers you run on every call, so ask Gong for your expected usage before you sign.
What it costs for 5, 10 and 25 reps
These are our sums from the ranges above, using the small-team figures: $1,600 per user, a $5,000 to $10,000 platform fee and $7,500 onboarding. Add-ons and AI credits are left out.
| Team | Licenses | Platform fee | Onboarding | First year | Second year (+5 to 10%) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 5 reps | $8,000 | $5,000 to $10,000 | $7,500 | $20,500 to $25,500 | $13,650 to $19,800 |
| 5 reps, if a 15-seat minimum applies | $24,000 | $5,000 to $10,000 | $7,500 | $36,500 to $41,500 | $30,450 to $37,400 |
| 10 reps | $16,000 | $5,000 to $10,000 | $7,500 | $28,500 to $33,500 | $22,050 to $28,600 |
| 25 reps | $40,000 | $5,000 to $10,000 | $7,500 | $52,500 to $57,500 | $47,250 to $55,000 |
The minimum seat count is the least certain number here. Claap and Nimitai report a minimum of about 15 seats from recent buyers; PitchMonster doesn’t mention one. If it applies to you, a five-person team pays for fifteen.
For scale: Claap cites Vendr data putting the median Gong contract at $54,900 a year, and another report gives $55,359. Claap estimates about $194,000 in the first year for 100 users.
Contract terms that matter as much as the price
Claap reports two to three year contracts as the default, paid yearly in advance, with no monthly plan and no short trial. If you remove seats in the middle of a contract, you usually get no refund or credit.
Renewals go up 5 to 10% a year unless your contract caps them, according to PitchMonster and GetMaxIQ; Claap suggests negotiating a cap of 3 to 5%. And if you add Engage, every user who has it also needs a Gong Core license.
How buyers get the price down
Claap reports an average discount of about 14%, and 30 to 40% for the best deals, usually with contracts of several years and signing at the end of Gong’s quarter. Things worth asking for in writing:
- A cap on renewal increases.
- A lower platform fee, or none, if your team is small. Claap notes some large teams negotiated it to zero.
- Onboarding included, or reduced.
- The seat minimum stated in the contract, so it doesn’t surprise you at renewal.
- Which features use AI credits, and what happens when they run out.
When Gong is worth it
Gong makes sense for a sales organization that wants recorded calls, coaching and forecasting in one system, with managers who review calls every week. At that scale the platform fee and onboarding spread across many seats.
For a team of five, the same fees can cost more than the licenses. If what reps need most is help during the call rather than review afterwards, look at tools sold by the seat with public prices. Avoma lists its plans at $19 to $39 per recorder seat a month on annual billing, with conversation intelligence as a $29 add-on. Realtimer, which we make, is a real-time AI assistant for sales calls at €29 a month for one person or €49 per seat for teams, with no platform fee; it gives answers during the call and doesn’t try to replace Gong’s forecasting.
FAQ

Recent buyer reports cited by Claap and Nimitai say about 15. It isn’t confirmed by Gong, so ask for it in writing.
